HONOLULU – The Hawaii Institute for Public Affairs (HIPA) has issued its 2014 Directory of Public Officials. Thanks to premier sponsor AT&T, a web-based mobile application will once again allow iOS and Android users to download the directory on their smartphones for easy, on-the-go use. Last year, over 4,000 unique users utilized the mobile application.
The directory was compiled with the assistance of federal, state and county government staffs that provided the names and contact information of all lawmakers in Hawaii. HIPA printed and distributed 10,000 booklets. Beginning today, interested parties can pick up copies at no charge at the State Capitol’s Public Access Room (Room 401) on the 4th Floor.
Sponsors of this year’s directory include AT&T, The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, ‘Ōlelo Community Media, Service Printers Hawaii and University of Hawaii Professional Assembly.
The app can be downloaded by visiting d.hipaonline.com or by scanning the Quick Response (QR) code below with a smartphone. The same code can also be found on the back cover of the print directory.
